Michael is one of Canada's most experienced and qualified commercial dispute resolution professionals. He has more than 25 years experience as a commercial lawyer specializing in technology and intellectual property. He also has expertise in franchising, licensing, product development and distribution, joint ventures, venture capital, project financing and professional partnership and shareholder disputes.
Since 2005, Michael has successfully mediated resolutions in shareholder and joint venture matters, computer software development and implementation projects, software licensing, copyright, trademark, patent and trade secret disputes.
He has acted as sole arbitrator in cases involving ownership of intellectual property, software licensing, system implementation, and other commercial and contract issues.
He has also acted as mediator/arbitrator in several disputes which were successfully resolved at the mediation stage.
Michael is recognized by leading Canadian and international ADR organizations as a trained and experienced facilitator, mediator and arbitrator.
